GuideChapter IV · Grow

How to grow

Skill compounds — but so does showing up in public. This chapter is about turning the things you build into a track record people can find, and a few relationships that outlast any single project.

A
Age of AGICommunity guide · Chapter IV of IV

Build in public, on purpose

Share what you're making: small daily wins, a weekly recap, the occasional honest “this broke and here's what I learned.” You don't have to be an expert — sharing the journey is enough, and it quietly makes opportunities come to you.

Pick one place and be consistent

X is good for quick updates and finding your people; LinkedIn is great for thoughtful posts and reaching hiring managers. The platform matters less than consistency — pick one and keep going for months, not days.

The ones who “make it” are simply the ones still showing up a year later.

Your projects are your résumé

A handful of shipped projects with live links say more than a long list of courses. Keep them on GitHub and on a simple portfolio page anyone can open in one click.

Grow with people, not alone

The fastest growth comes from a crew — people who review your work, nudge you to ship, and actually celebrate the wins. That's the entire point of Age of AGI. Don't do this solo if you don't have to.

Play the long game

Most people quit after a month. The ones who “make it” are simply still showing up a year later. Slow and consistent beats fast and burnt out — every time.
