You're not 'bad at this' — you're early. Skill is built, not born. We treat every struggle as the part where learning actually happens, not proof you don't belong.
Build in public
Share the messy middle, not just the polished wins. Half-finished work, ugly first drafts, and honest 'I'm stuck' posts are what make this place real.
Be kind, by default
Assume good intent. Lift people up. A beginner's question is a chance to be generous, never a chance to show off.
No gatekeeping
No question is too basic. No stack is 'not real programming.' Everyone here was a beginner, and most of us still are at something.
Give before you take
Try to answer one question for every one you ask. A community is only as helpful as the people who show up to help.
Ship over perfect
Finished and small beats perfect and imagined. We'd rather you shipped something tiny today than planned something huge forever.
